Namespace names can be translated into languages other than English and individual namespaces can be renamed, as set by a wiki's system admins. These names are known as the 'localized' namespace names. However, all namespaces have a 'canonical name', the original English name which will work on any installation of MediaWiki. So linking to [[User:Foo]] will always locate the user page for the user foo, whether the wiki is in French (where the localized name would be [[:Utilisateur:Foo]]), Russian ([[:Участник:Foo]]), or Hindi ([[:सदस्य:Foo]]).

Some wiki farms do not have all gallery options (such as "widths"). Also, sometimes one wants varying widths for images in a row. Outside of a gallery it is impossible to have individual captions for images in a row of images that will wrap to the browser width. Try it and see. Nothing works. Images will either overlap stuff on the right, or force a horizontal scroll bar.

Using a left float ("left") for some images, combined with "none" for some of the images, will not work consistently either, especially if there is also a right sidebar of images. Weird things will occur. At narrower browser or screen widths an image out of the row may appear far down the page after the end of the right sidebar of images.

If "thumb" is not used (and thus no captions) a row of images will wrap to the browser width.

== 移動を提案 ==

ウィキを運営する上では、ページ名を決定することが難しい事情をはらみ、論争のもととなってしまうことがあります。行おうとしている移動に反対する人がいそうな場合には、まず、移動について提案するべきです。移動の提案は、[[Help:Talk pages/ja|トークページ]]に行い、提案の理由を書き添えます。また、移動の提案があることを広く知らせられるように、移動提案テンプレートを使用してページに印を付ける仕組みを作っておくとよいかもしれません。

== 移動の取り消し ==

ウィキのあらゆる編集と同様に、移動の操作は (誰でも) 差し戻せます。移動の操作を差し戻すには、単にページを逆方向に移動します。上記の例で言えば、ページ「B」を元のページ「A」に移動させます。

このようにすると、ページ「B」はなくならず、ただ「B」から「A」へのリダイレクトに変わります。誰でもリダイレクトを取り除いて、ページの削除を提案することができますが、最終的な削除は管理者の権限が必要です ([[Help:Deleting a page/ja|Help:ページの削除]]参照)。
